It is alright

Had to uninstall today. Unusable for a particular issue that suddenly came up today. On Chrome, Linux. I was using this extension for a few days and it was working well. But today, every time I use dictation on Ubuntu, a small mic icon appears in my bottom panel and never goes away. If I use dictation again, another one appears. After a while, there are many mic icons stuck there. Restarting Chrome removes them, but they come back again. This made the extension unusable for me. So frustrated, as otherwise, was liking it very much.

It was working nicely at first, but today on Chrome/Linux it became impossible to use. Every dictation leaves a mic symbol stuck on my Ubuntu panel, and the symbols just keep piling up each time I try again. Only restarting Chrome clears them, but they return immediately. I liked the extension, but this bug made me remove it.

Uninstalled for a new bug today. Very annoying bug on Ubuntu. Every time I dictate, it leaves a microphone icon stuck on the bottom panel. Use it a few times and the panel fills with them, the stuck microphone icons.

?? PLEASE FIX THIS NEW BUG Extremely frustrating. I actually liked this extension, but on Ubuntu Chrome. it became unusable today. Every dictation leaves another stuck mic icon on the bottom panel. They just keep piling up until I restart Chrome. Had to uninstall. No problem on Chromium browser though.

? Forced to uninstall today, for this new bug that others are also reporting. Every time I use dictation, another mic icon gets stuck on the bottom panel. And yes, it does not happen on Chromium browser.

This app now requires you to sign in or log in to use it, thus creating a privacy concern, linking your account to your voice. This makes one worry that they are selling your voice recordings to marketing agencies and/or spy agencies. Boo! Remove the login requirement!

SmithLife Homecare

Outstanding app. Works well and easy to set up. I Bought the lifetime subscription for my personal account because I like it so much. Now I'm good until 2105 = )

Suggestion: Make changing the language easier, and also easier to see what language you're currently using. I almost thought it didn't catch my words but i had accidentally set into Finnish language though I was speaking English.

Looks promising to me! altough google docs has voice typing built in as well. curious to see where this goes!

Steve Simon

I like it a lot, but sometimes it shuts off, so I just went to the Options and set the on/off to zero instead of 10 minutes of no activity.

Jermaine Nizamali

Love this. It works perfectly in all the languages I use it for. What a big help to speed things up.

I love this Chrome plug-in! It's incredibly convenient and works seamlessly for speech-to-text within the browser. I just wish there was a way to use it everywhere on my PC, as it would be a huge productivity booster for me. I purchased the lifetime plan, and I'm very happy with it—definitely worth it for the time saved!

Carlos Roman

Finally, a voice input I can use with ChatGPT so I can dictate like I can on the phone app. Thank you!!

The item description in chrome store is very misleading. "FREE TO USE Our Basic plan comes with everything you need to dictate for free. " Says nothing about only working on select sites, nothing about the paid option, just leads you to believe that it will work for free. First webpage I tried (in Slack, which is used as an example of where it works), it didn't work for free and wanted $10/month. Very disappointed. I may have paid the price if the write up had been honest. I was expecting it to work for free like it says and now I'm just mad.

J R

Worked in a few places...can't recall which just now. However, most of the time it tells me I need to upgrade to advanced mode for $10 per month. Still, I may keep it around if I can remember the places where it actually works???
